The Koothambalam at Guruvayoor is one of the fourteen surviving Koothambalam structures and thus is of extreme historical and architectural value. It has taken meticulous documentation, detailed condition assessment and the splendid craftsmanship our indigenous workers to complete the project to near perfection. The major challenges were identifying the right craftsmen for the job and employing local skills and practices, while keeping the original materials and reusing the old ones.
