The revitalisation was aimed at finding a new meaning for the traditionally neglected pond which was initially a bathing ghat and an essential public space in the city. A water- edge park was created with sculptural seating, padippuras, pedestrian pathways & local trees which gave the area back to the public. The place is also frequented by numerous migratory birds.
