Kole wetlands form a vital part of the ecosystem of Kerala acting as a natural drainage for several districts preventing floods & inculcating several species of migratory birds becoming a biodiversity hotspot. Also, several families monetarily depend on the same. Due to improper regulation & management, human intervention is hampering the habitat. Our team studied the biodiversity of the area and proposed & planned an interpretation centre for the visitors & tourists. With an effort to regulate tourist flow and control human activities, thus preserving the habitat.
