It is a natural geographic rock formation, roughly 13 km from Thrissur town, spreading across a few kilometres and mostly unknown to the masses except to the residing localities. It also has a few megalithic remains at the top. The project involved facilitating the space to promote various forms of tourism, including adventure tourism. Other facilities provided include a parking area, bathroom blocks, a small landscape feature for storing water, handrails, seating. This is to accommodate tourists and to make the experience of the tranquil surroundings a pleasurable one.
